APEKE DYNASTY FOUNDATION SECURES JUSTICE FOR 11-YEAR-OLD RAPE VICTIM……. TWO SUSPECTS APPREHENDED
The Apeke Dynasty Foundation (ADF), under the Leadership and Superintendent of Miss Emeka Opeyemi Maureen, has successfully intervened in a harrowing case involving the serial abuse of an 11-year-old minor at the Agbelekale area of Meiran, Lagos.
On December 10th, the DG was alerted of a case where a school teacher lured a minor into his residence under the guise of assisting with examination materials. Once inside, the teacher overpowered the minor and committed the assault. Critical physical evidence, including the victim’s clothing, were discovered at the scene.
Upon receiving the report, the DG took immediate action, leading to the swift arrest of the teacher. During the subsequent investigation and trauma counseling, the victim bravely revealed a second instance of abuse involving a pastor at her local church.
Demonstrating the foundation’s zero-tolerance policy for gender-based violence, the DG facilitated the immediate arrest of the second suspect.
The suspects involved have since been transferred to the Police Gender Unit to face the full weight of the law.
The victim has undergone a comprehensive medical examination at the Mirabel Health Centre and is presently receiving professional therapy and counselling to support her recovery.
Meanwhile, the suspects have been duly arrested, arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction and the matter is currently undergoing judicial proceedings.
